Hi All,
I just bought a asymmetrical from an dock neighbor and now I need to rig the boat for it. I was wondering what size blocks will be sufficient and what size lines are preferred. Most say 5/16 for the sheets, but I'd like to be set up for very lite air, so I'm wondering about 1/4. Also, I think I'm going to need a spinnaker crane, due to my CDI furler. I was told that catalina direct does not have one for the c25, but that I could use the one for the c27 and modify it. Has any one bought and installed a spinnaker crane lately? Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Kip,

I've used a 3" block with rotating becket at the stem fitting which has been working well. All other lines, tack line and sheets, are 1/4 inch. You want your sheets in particular to be as light as possible but still take a load.

I just installed a furler this year and found that my spinnaker halyard is jammed by the furler. I believe a masthead crane will solve the problem but, other than the one at Catalina Direct, I wouldn't know where to find one. Let's hope we can solve this issue soon.
