Steve Milby and I are planning to meet for dinner on Satuday, April 5th. We were wondering if anyone would like to joint us. We haven't picked a place to meet yet, thought we'd wait and see what might be most conveinent for everyone. Ideally, within an hours drive. Let me know here or email me at casamodoprop at yahoo.com.
Good idea and if it were not Good Friday would be happy to attend. There are a lot of possibities in West Chester-Mason area; depends on what you are lookong for re price, menu, setting whatever. Soiunds as if there could be a good sized group.
I did't realize the 21 was Good Friday. We changed it to Satuday, April 5th. If Bill can make it, closer to Dayton would be better for him. It would be 1 1/2 - 2 hr drive for him, coming from Indiana. We'll see who can make it and then decide where. Dayton or near would be most central for Southwest Ohio, then maybe we can get people from Columbus to come.

Bill

Bill, Jay's Seafood Restaurant has always been highly rated and very good. It's located in the Oregon Historic District at 225 E. 6th Street, Dayton, Ohio. Their website is at www.jays.com
As for a hotel, price and quality are personal to each of us, and I'd suggest you search online for one or two that look good to you, and, if you'll let me know, I'll check them out for you to make sure they're nice facilities and conveniently located.
I'd say bring your boat, but it's still pretty cold and rainy, and we don't have a suitable lake nearby, so it's probably best to just talk sailing.
So, are we going to meet at Jay's Seafood Restaurant or what? Give us the time to do so, this was Kips idea so I'll let him run with it. Then I'll make my hotel reservations.

Just so we're clear on the number of who's coming at this point, I have - Bill Meinert, Doug Bergdall, David Reddick and wife, Gordon Stout and wife, Dave Turner, Dave Bennett, Steve Milby and myself. Any other spouses? Anyone else interested in coming? The only preference for coming is that you did, you do or your going to own a 25ft. boat built by Catalina Yachts. Again, let us know here or email me at casamodoprop at yahoo.com.
OK, I talked with Jay's Seafood Restaurant, and they said we can have reservations for 10 for April 5, and they can accommodate more people, if necessary. Just give them advance notice. They said we'll have ample time to chat, and they won't rush us to free up the table(s).
I need to know what time to reserve our tables. If 7:00 p.m. is OK with everyone, I'll make our reservations for that time.
By the way, Dayton has one of the best Air & Space museums you'll ever see - perhaps the best. It has way more exhibits than the Smithsonian. If you're interested in that kind of thing and have the time, you might want to spend a day there. Admission is free (donations accepted).
