Hello All, This is my first post, but a avid reader. I like to see what others have done to there boat. I need to tighten the traveler in the stern and I know access is limited but I will do all I can to remedy this before cutting in access holes. Is it attached by nuts or bolts? Any ideas?? Any help would be appreciative.
P.S. I just made the main cabin dinette into a queen size birth WOW It works nice. I took some photos to share once I figure out how to post them. Thank you Devin My Time 77 Cat 25 SRSK

Just a stab in the dark -- but see if a basin wrench is long enough to reach the nut. Not expensive, and very useful around the home.
If you can swing it, this is a good reason to upgrade to a real traveller. That piece of pipe bolted to the transom is probably the worst feature on the boat.
If you upgrade to Harken, you want the small boat kit. This is on my list. SWMBO suggests anger management counselling instead.
Thanks everyone, I like what Prospector "Iris" said about upgrading the traveler. Where would the traveler be mounted? Back on the stern or on the pop top? I like the idea of moving it so it is out of the way, but would like to see what options I have? Has anyone seen this Re: (Harken small boat traveler)
BTW, I will take a basin wrench and try it. Thanks

Also a good work light and a hand held mirror. Just might work. I think that on the earlier boats they used plywood for backing plates and it is now crushing probably from water intrusion.
