Ed, I can't remember if it was last year or the year before our club was going to go to Don Pedro but managment balked at our group coming. He told us that he couldn't rent a guest dock to a boat 25' or larger because they would have troubles fitting in the slips. I don't remember having problems before, but we just decided to skip it. Has managment cooled off since the change or are they still that way? Also I heard Dorthy was working there. If you see her say hi, and maybe she can get us in this winter for a weekend.

Ed -which lake are you talking about, Don Pedro, New Melones, or Comanche? At least they have month-to-month slip fees, unlike Folsom which only leases slips on a full-year basis, with no refund for premature closure of the marina due to low water level. Actually, even in the "wettest" years, you don't get a full 12 months of slip use, as flood control requirements of the Bureau of Reclamation usually cause the lake to get drawn down below the minimum for marina operation between December 1st and March 1st, and everyone has to pull their boats. So even in the best years, we only get 9 months of slip use although we have paid for 12 months in advance. I guess the $1250 annual fee isn't all that high, compared to some of the other marinas mentioned in this thread that are charging double or more of Folsom Lake marina's slip fee.
